Another week at Haffey Sportsgrounds Limited with work continuing on a number of projects across the country. Lurgan Town Football Club The site has started to take shape at Gordon Playing Fields.  The stone base layer was completed and the installation of the kerbing started.  Work also commenced on the installation of the fencing. The week with Haffey’s

It has been a busy period for Haffey Sportsgrounds Limited with a number of projects nearing completion whilst other exciting projects have commenced.  We even fitted in work at one of the world's most iconic football stadiums! Anfield Stadium, Liverpool A new synthetic run-off was installed around the natural grass playing surface at the iconic stadium.  It was completed in time for the match against Aston Villa FC at the weekend. Work begins on new MUGA for Mourneview

Work is underway on the new Multi-Use Games Area in Mourneview which Haffey Sports Grounds will complete with main contractor Fox Contracts. DUP Councillor Carla Lockhart welcomed the commencement of the Mourneview MUGA this week saying: “I am delighted that eventually after a few technical hitches that Mourneview Multi Use Games Area work has commenced and will be delivered in the with the next 10 to 12 weeks. “This will be a great facility for the area and particularly the young people and young families. “The location will be a safe area and will be of great benefit to the children of Read more

Helping pitches recover after exceptional rainfall

Given the recent heavy rainfall across the county it has hardly been surprising that we have seen the cancellation of numerous sporting events due to flooded pitches.  Not only do these cancellations cause a headache for the sports administrators in re-arranging events, but they also cause a headache for the clubs' and the groundstaff who are tasked with getting the pitches back into top condition as quickly as possible.
